Reflection on communication style (1)

In everyday communication, we communicate with the audience in the form of listening and speaking. The message we send or receive in communication shapes relationships under the influence of our mentality and inner desires. Skill in establishing interpersonal relationship can lead to solving people's problems at home, work and school. In interpersonal relationships, coordination between speech and body behaviors, including tone and facial expressions, preserving the dignity and privacy of the other person, trying to feel the person's experiences with understanding and empathy, using effective and short messages in speech, improves effective and efficient relationships.

When we can increase our awareness of our own existence and feelings, we increase our self-acceptance and then our confidence and peace of mind, and following our deep self-revelation and the desire to accept who we are, our authenticity grows and the disproportionate and incoherent internal and external behaviors in our relationships are reduced, and we communicate with others as genuine and honest people, and this becomes the first step in improving personal and interpersonal relationships.

Positive attitude towards others, acceptance of people in different situations and maintaining the dignity of people, which follows our knowledge of our own personality traits, which are dynamic and variable in nature, include unconditional respect. Acceptance should not be confused with approval, but respecting each person's individuality and respecting all people who interact with us on a daily basis in society creates a more useful and effective relationship. Understanding such respect for people reminds us that we all have personality traits that are considered good and bad in the eyes of others in relation to their experiences, so a mistake shows only one behavior of a person in the set of personality traits and does not make all aspects of a person's existence negative. On this basis, we should not behave inhumanely in dealing with people, even serious criminals. So, the more humanity is valued in our relationships, the more constructive dialogue and communication will be in resolving disputes.

The ability to understand others depends on individual differences. Judging the views, thoughts and feelings of the other person increases alienation in relationships and destroys relationships. When we communicate based on our value frameworks, our communication gets less depth and breadth. In fact, empathy for people's situation requires a certain humility, which is an effort with sensitivity and precision to understand the person's situation, which increases the understanding between people and prevents the collapse of the relationship. When we learn not to judge and blame our thoughts and feelings, over time we will stop judging others in interpersonal communication and we will be recognized as a genuine, accepting and empathetic person and a trusted person.

Talking without any relevant and effective words in communication can disrupt the main message in relationships. Sometimes, not being clear about the content and expressing the wishes makes the speech long and vague. Therefore, it takes the person away from the goal of the conversation and postpones an effective communication and makes our understanding of communication different.

In creating effective and efficient factors in relationships, there are obstacles that make us difficult to communicate, and by knowing them, we can improve communication skills. One of those obstacles is intense emotions. When we are angry or sad

The ability to understand and recognize others is impaired and there is no possibility of finding a logical and constructive solution. Aroused emotions such as anxiety cause the inability to choose words to convey the appropriate message and face problems in communication. One of the obstacles is not having the courage to understand others. When you listen to the other person's views of the world and life without judging others, you must accept the possibility or risk of change in yourself. When you try to see a problem in the other person's way, there is a possibility of changing your attitude. Therefore, when we are aware of our thoughts and emotions and communicate with others based on our value beliefs, we will experience more efficient relationships.

Learning effective methods of dialogue and communication between different people is of particular importance, when we know emotional regulation, creative problem solving and communication skills, we take steps towards our growth and well-being. Learning how to communicate constructively with ourselves is one of the important dimensions of communication skills.
